This weekend began Shueisha’s Jump Festa 2021 Virtual Event, an event that focuses on Anime and Manga. While there are panels that can be viewed on YouTube, the App is not available in the US unfortunately due to it being Region Locked; but you can always view it through their website and Newsweek has the schedule up for Jump Festa’s Events and Panels. Today several items came up during the first day, here is your Jump Festa News Round-Up (Part One):
Megaton Musashi streams Special Jump Festa Trailer
There have been changes since it was unveiled in 2016, a new cast and availability changes such as the game no longer available for iOS and Android, Level 5 unveiled a special trailer for Megaton Musashi as part of its Megaton-kyū Musashi multimedia project; the story takes place after 90 percent of humanity wiped out due to an invasion. Survivors live in a shelter where their lives are monitored, and memories of the invasion erased. Three teenagers from the shelter are chosen to pilot three machines that combine to form the Musashi robot, made out of a material named Megatronium alloy. Platinum End is getting an Anime Adaption, it is scheduled to be released in Fall 2021
Another of Takeshi Obata and Tsugumi Ohba‘s manga is getting an anime adaption, the duo has created many memorable stories such as Death Note and Bakuman, both have gotten both Anime and Live-Action Adaptions but now it is Platinum’s End that will be getting a brand new Anime which will be handled by Pony Canyon. Boruto Anime unveils six new cast members, Kawaki is ready to fight!
Here we are, Kara is ready to make their presence known, and with them is Kawaki, a child who was raised to be the vessel for Isshiki Ōtsutsuki. In a new stage presentation, we learned not only that Kara and Kawaki were coming but also six new cast members who will be voicing the villainous organization members, you can find the cast list here along with new Character Visuals. My Hero Academia’s Season Five to premiere on March 27th, 2021
While Season Five was announced in April, and another film on the way, a brand new visual and trailer were unveiled during a Stage Presentation for MHA’s newest season Set to cover the Joint Training Battle between Class 1-A vs 2-A, it will be premiere on March 27th, 2021. The School of Chainsaw Wielding Mayhem: Part Two of the Chainsaw Man Manga is the ‘School Arc’
With the announcement of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Chainsaw Man getting an anime adaption handled by Mappa, the Stage Presentation went over the next stage of Denji’s new life: Going to School, that’s right, the manga will enter the Gakkō-hen (School Arc). Kemono Jihen gets a brand new Promotional Video, set to Premiere on January 10th
The stage presentation at the Jump Festa ’21 event premiered a second promotional video on Saturday for the television anime of Shō Aimoto‘s Kemono Jihen (Monster Incidents) manga. While the Anime is set to premiere on January 10th, 2021, The video previews Daisuke Ono’s opening theme song “Kemonomichi.” For more information on this new anime, Anime News Network has the Details.
“In a quiet rural village, where many domestic animals die unnatural deaths in a strange incident. To resolve the incident, an odd-looking man from Tokyo who goes by the name “Inugami” comes to the town to investigate.
