There has been an update in the Tatsuya Matsuki case, according to TBS News, the Tokyo Public Prosecutor’s Office has filed a formal indictment on the former Shonen Jump writer over a second indecent act.
The Indictment is specifically is for the second of two indecent acts that Matsuki committed on June 18th, while the Prosecutor Office did not indict the writer on the first indecent act which had happened on June 18th (an hour before the second act had occurred,) around 8 pm. The Prosecutor’s Office also did not offer a reason for not indicting Matsuki on the first indecent act in Wednesday.
NHK reported that according to the Police that on June 18th, at 8 pm that evening the suspect approached the girl from behind while on a bicycle and touched her inappropriately. The suspect fled the scene on a bicycle, later the girl went to the Police and the Police examined the Security Camera footage, an hour later, a similar incident happened to another girl and the suspect matched Matsuki’s description. Since the incident, Shueisha Inc and Shonen Jump’s Editorial Department issued a statement regarding the final chapter of the Act-Age Manga, the serialization was canceled, along with the cease of sales and distribution of both physical and digital copies of the manga. Meanwhile, Artist Shiro Usazaki also issued a statement regarding the writer’s arrest and cancellation of the Act-Age Manga. Since the cancellation of the Manga, Hori Pro canceled the upcoming Stage Play adaption of the Manga.
