This puts it in competition with Nintendo’s console, the Switch in terms of affordable consoles, the console will roughly be 60 percent smaller than the regular Xbox console; on the specs of this console, we’re looking at it having a custom NVMe SSD and a resolution of 1440 pixels with a 120 fps, DirectX Raytracing, variable refresh rate, and 4k streaming playback.
Only digital releases will be compatible with the Series S, with it promoting “an instant library of 100+ high-quality games, including all-new Xbox Game Studios titles the day they release when you add Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.” Also being released on the 10th of November is Microsoft’s other console, the Series X, Engadget also mentioned on their website “The Series S will likely be offered as part of a $25-per-month Xbox All Access financing option, making the cheaper console more attractive in global markets.
