You might recall the split between Crunchyroll and Funimation in 2018, but it looks like WarnerMedia and AT&T are looking to possibly selling the 14-year-old streaming service to Companies such as Sony, places such as THR and the Information (Technology News Website) have reported that with the service recently reaching 3 million subscribers and pointing out that HBOMax, WarnerMedia’s new service has the same amount of subscribers but the only difference between the two is age; HBOMax is only Two Months old and already has the same amount of subscribers Crunchyroll has. The deal meaning another chance at a partnership between Crunchyroll and Funimation but AT&T and Warner were disappointed with Sony’s offer, according to Technology News Website.
While citing that this valued the service at five hundred US Dollars per subscriber, but AT&T only valued Crunchyroll at the equivalent of four hundred US Dollars. For more on this new report, head over to the Information.
