Ever since the introduction of the Story-Mode in Mortal Kombat, fans have made it clear that they want more, and the people over at NetherRealm Studios as always, ready to give fans what they want (Unless you’re asking for Mileena, Boon already spoke to fans regarding that issue,) and that is an addition to the continuation of Story Mode!

The sorcerer tells the Champion that he, Nightwolf and Fujin were her Prisoners and during Liu-Kang’s battle with the Titan the Crown that helped her control time was destroyed and if it isn’t returned before Liu-Kang restarts time, Reality will be wiped out and all-realms will be destroyed with it.

Another benefit to this is the addition of new environments and different takes on Classic Stages, such as the Dead Pool from MK II, the Dreaded Soul Chamber from MK III and a new stage that Dominic Cianciolo, the Voiceover and Story Director at NetherRealm Studios described in his interview with Playstation Blog as a “love letter to the fans, who’ve kept up with us since the early days of Mortal Kombat.” The new stage is called ‘The RetroKade‘, a mashup of the oldschool stages into a more modern presentation.

With the Stage Fatalities making a comeback, another blast from the past is Friendships, debuting back in Mortal Kombat II this was in response to the Public’s views on how gruesome fatalities were when first introduced in Mortal Kombat. Also making his debut in the Mortal Kombat Franchise is Robocop, curious to see his moves and fight against the Terminator (It would be a nod to the classic 90s Comic Book Crossover written by Frank Miller and Art by Walt Simonson.) Be on the lookout for the Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath on May 26th, when you buy it on Playstation you’ll get a free dynamic theme to download!
