Several places such as THR, Newsarama have reported that the Comic Book Industry is starting to show signs of recovery as Diamond Comics has confirmed that they are intending to resume Comic Book and other Product Distribution; if you recall around late March, Diamond’s Family Company, Geppi Family Enterprises had announced that they would be halting production and distribution from printers. While most companies such as DC were looking into a ‘Multi-Distributor Model‘ to deal with the effects of the Coronavirus had on the Industry at the time, but then they announced they would start publishing new comic books again on April 28th, 2020 (Depending on the safety concerns surrounding Coronavirus.)

Diamond responded to DC’s plan, stating that they would have their support, their statement listed below:
“We value our partnership with DC and will continue to support them as a distributor. Our focus is squarely on getting our industries’ entertainment products in the hands of fans as quickly and as safely as possible. As we shared this morning with our vendors and retailers, we are currently building our restart plans and targeting mid- to late-May to being shipping new weekly products. If we see signs that it is safe to resume shipping earlier, we certainly will. However, with the limited number of retailers open and most customers on stay-at-home orders, our focus is on supporting our industry and the health and safety of our stakeholders.”
