In a new article from Newsarama, Comic Book Publisher Marvel has informed Direct Market Retailers that the Company and Diamond Comic Distributors are currently working on a “Larger Scale Plan” to address the shipping of upcoming books, which was in disarray due to the Coronavirus. A Marvel Mailer is sent out weekly through Diamond, with Marvel attempting to ease retailers minds as the Diamond Distribution Stoppage begins this week, at the time there is no indication of when or how they will receive Marvel Comics.
“As soon as Marvel and DCD have the proper knowledge on what the future likely holds during these trying times of a Global Pandemic, we will update the FOC dates and On Sale Dates, We assure you there is a larger scale plan being worked on for the upcoming shipping schedule and thank you for your patience.”
With the Publisher pushing back the Final Order Cut-Off deadline for some of its April 2020 books, there are currently unresolved distribution issues as well. Keep in mind that this is after a discussion with the biggest retailer, and Mail-Order Giant DCBS (Discount Comic Book Service). But, for the moment neither Publisher (Marvel and DC) haven’t exactly addressed or answer inquiries as to how they plan to approach print or digital publishing after Diamond distribution of printed comics is suspended.A Entertainment Earth Exclusive!: Iron Man Model 39 Glow in the Dark Armor Pop!
