Microsoft unveils Xbox Series X Official Specs

You know, I have to admit, it’s a nice looking Brick, expensive but hey, it looks nice right? Alright, enough snark and down to business. Earlier today, Microsoft revealed the specs for its newest video game console Xbox Series X; according to The Verge, this new console will include a Twelve Teraflops of GPU performance speed, this is twice of what is available on the Xbox One X and eight times of what is available on the original Xbox One. As it was pointed out, the performance puts the Xbox Series X in a league of its own when it comes to Graphic cards such as AMD and Nvidia, this will go far beyond what current consoles Xbox One X and Playstation 4 Pro.

Xbox’s Phil Spencer made this claim concerning Series X’s Graphics Power Capacity:

“Xbox Series X delivers a true generational leap in processing and graphics power with cutting edge techniques resulting in higher framerates, larger, more sophisticated game worlds, and an immersive experience unlike anything seen in console gaming.”

Microsoft had also revealed in the past Hardware-Accelerated DirectX RayTracing and Variable Rate Shading (VRS), but the company mentioned that it already patented its own VRS. Phil Spencer explained  “Rather than spending GPU cycles uniformly to every single pixel on the screen, [developers] can prioritize individual effects on specific game characters or important environmental objects, This technique results in more stable frame rates and higher resolution, with no impact on the final image quality.”
