Lupin is going on his first CG Adventure in latest film!


It was announced that everybody’s favorite Gentleman thief is coming back to the Big Screen in the Franchise’s very first 3DCG animated feature film titled, Lupin the 3rd: The First. The person who will be writing and directing the film is Takashi Yamazaki, who is well known for his work on Space Battleship Yamato and Stand by me, Doraemon. While this is the Franchise’s first 3DCG Feature Film, it will also be the franchise’s first Theatrical Feature film since 1996’s Lupin the 3rd: Dead or Alive; making it the first theatrical release in 23 years.

While there are not many details on the film yet, we get to see the first look at Lupin and the gang in beautiful CG animated form. Listed above is a 60-second teaser that was shown on both the film’s website and Twitter, translated from their social media announcement “It has been 40 years since the masterpiece ‘The Castle of Cagliostro.’ A new Lupin by Takashi Yamazaki that nobody has ever seen will appear.” Meanwhile, Yamazaki confirmed on his official Twitter account that he has been working on this project for 3 years. Coming to Japanese Theaters December 6th, 2019!
