Pokemon The Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution Teaser, Poster Included.

Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution was recently revealed as the 22nd Pokémon anime film, and it’s set to open in Japan on July 12, 2019. Now the first poster has arrived along with some additional staff details and a new teaser video, which offers up the first peek at Mewtwo in full 3DCG animation. 

Mewtwo’s return to the big screen marks 20 years since the premiere of the very first feature, Pokémon: The First Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back, which originally opened in Japan on July 18, 1998. Kunihiko Yuyama and Motonori Sakakibara (Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within) are directing, with Takeshi Shudo (Pokémon: The First Movie, Pokémon 3: The Movie) on the script.

Dr. Fuji creates a living weapon by cloning legendary Pokémon Mew. But when Mewtwo develops his own plan to destroy the world, Ash, Pikachu, and their friends must prevent catastrophe.
