The second theatrical film in the popular isekai franchise earned an estimated $1,000,000 in its three-day opening weekend from 837 theaters, with $420,000 on Friday, $320,000 on Saturday, and $260,000 on Sunday.
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, the highly anticipated sequel to Nintendo, Illumination, and Universal Pictures’ The Super Mario Bros. Movie, earned $402,676,935 in its third weekend, holding the No. 2 spot at the North American box office. The animated blockbuster played in 3,419 theaters, adding $2,750,000 on Friday, $5,630,000 on Saturday, and $3,720,000 on Sunday.In limited release, the 4K restoration of Studio Ghibli’s Whisper of the Heart crossed the $380,492 mark after its second weekend. Meanwhile, Studio Ghibli’s Kiki’s Delivery Service continued its strong run, earning a cumulative $2,664,947 after six weeks in theaters.

Crunchyroll later released the movie internationally, bringing it to North America, the U.K., and Ireland on May 1, 2026. The animation was produced by Eight Bit and distributed by Bandai Namco Filmworks.
