In January 2026, Kodansha unveiled the cover for Ryo Sumiyoshi’s Si Land Volume One, with young Jean proudly gracing the front and a striking back cover dominated by Zahab, the Lion of the Ocean. Just two months later, on March 24, the publisher revealed the Volume Two cover — this time placing the majestic Lion of the Ocean front and center, flames roaring behind him in a display of raw power and charisma.

According to the official announcement, the digital edition of Si Land Volume 2 will include 12 pages of exclusive bonus content, featuring never-before-seen color illustrations, setting artwork (reference sheets), bonus one-panel comics, and newly drawn monochrome illustrations — all at the same price (792 yen, (720 yen excluding tax) as the print version. The second volume goes on sale April 8, 2026, with pre-orders available now. It continues directly from where Volume 1 left off, focusing on the Zahab Pirates’ fresh start, their voyage to the rocky Saber Cat stronghold, and the shocking discovery involving the legendary monster cat Ajai, the Sea Tiger. UPDATE: The second volume collects chapters 5 through 8, with an afterword from the author.

Si Land takes place in a world where dogs rule the only continent, having built a mighty kingdom, while the cats have scattered across the vast Great Sea. Living as nomadic raiders, the cats repeatedly loot dog ships and settlements, breeding a deep mutual hatred between the two species that has led to years of bitter strife. Meanwhile, on a small island in the Great Sea lives a young dog named Jean. Unconventionally born at sea and raised by a cat, he travels between islands with his mother Rosa and his adoptive father Azul. Jean dreams of finding a permanent home where the three of them can finally live together in peace. But their fate changed forever the day…
