Big news coming from Dragon Ball Genkidamatsuri. The 40th Anniversary celebration for Akira Toriyama‘s Dragon Ball happened over the weekend and it brought forward several new projects that fans have been asking for, and that’s the continuation of the Dragon Ball Super TV Anime, starting with the Galactic Patrol.
Dragon Ball Super: Galactic Patrol

The new series will be taking place after the Universal Survival Arc, which aired between 2015 and 2018. It also appears in the manga as the “Galactic Patrol Prisoner Arc.” Goku, and Vegeta, work together with the members of the Galactic Patrol, the peacekeepers of the galaxy, to begin a SUPER scale battle against a new enemy, “Planet-Eater” Moro! The new series is currently in production. The announcement was teased in a brand-new anniversary video for Dragon Ball with Academy Award-winning composer Hans Zimmer composing the music for the video. Naoki Miyahara directed the video at Toei Animation.
Dragon Ball Super: Beerus (Enhanced Edition)

“Dragon Ball Super Begins Anew!” Next up, is the announcement of the Enhanced Edition of Dragon Ball Super: Beerus. The project features extensive new cuts, revisions to existing scenes, a complete re-rendering of all footage, newly recorded dubbing with added score and sound effects, and a full reconstruction of the story from the TV Anime. The Enhanced Edition properly expresses Akira Toriyama’s original idea and worldbuilding more accurately. It will premiere in Fall 2026 on Fuji TV.
