Kanehito Yamada (Writer) and Tsukasa Abe (Illustrator)’s Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End was first serialized in Shogakukan’s shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Sunday in April 2020 and is an ongoing series, but has currently been placed on indefinite hiatus due to the creators taking stock of their health, and considering adjusting the serialization pace of the series. Its chapters have been collected into 14 tankobon volumes, with the 15th going on sale on December 18th. It is licensed for English release in North America by Viz Media and the series’ chapters are published in English in North America at the same time as their release in Japan on Viz Media‘s Digital Manga app. It has inspired a TV Anime adaptation, which is available to watch on streaming services such as Crunchyroll, Disney+/Hulu, and Netflix. The first season is also available to own in two parts on Blu-ray.
