The final chapter of Fire Force is almost upon us, it has been confirmed that it will make its debut on January 9, 2026. Accompanying the news was a brand-new visual featuring Shinra Kusakabe, the “Hero,” and Arthur Boyle, the self-proclaimed “King of Knights,” standing together against the fiery backdrop of the Tokyo Empire engulfed in the “Great Cataclysm.”

The second cour will air on the MBS, TBS, and CBC “Animeism” programming block. Netflix is exclusively streaming the anime in Japan, with each episode debuting after the TV broadcast, while Crunchyroll streams the anime in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS. Crunchyroll is also streaming an English dub. Speaking of which, Crunchyroll has confirmed during its NYCC panel that it will stream the second cour of the third season.
Yuki Yase directed the first season of the anime at studio David Production (Undead Unluck, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure), with series composition by Yamato Haishima and character designs by Hideyuki Morioka; Tatsuma Minamikawa took over as director and series composer for the second season that aired in 2020. Minamikawa returns to direct the final season, and Hideyuki Morioka once again provides character designs. Sei Tsuguta works on the scripts and series composition for anime studio David Production.

Atsushi Ohkubo’s Fire Force made its serialized debut in Kodansha’s shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Magazine from September 2015 to February 2022, with its chapters collected in 34 tankōbon volumes. In North America, the manga has been licensed for English language release by Kodansha USA, the individual chapters are available to read on Kodansha’s KMANGA app. By May 2022, the Fire Force manga had over 20 million copies in circulation. Since the manga’s debut, it has inspired a TV Anime, stage plays, and a mobile video game.
