Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece has been doing a phenomenal job whether on the sheets of manga pages or the television screen, the Straw Hats are certainly on a roll! But, the Anime adaptation will be going on hiatus after the recent airing of episode 1122. Never fear, we’re going to take a look back at the Fishman Island Arc while we wait for our heroes to return.
Toei Animation announced a special re-edited approach to One Piece’s Fishman Island Arc titled One Piece Log: Fish-man Island Saga. While the main series is set to return in April 2025, we’ll be getting a weekly broadcast of this special edited series. This newly edited special will include new animation sequences and updated OP and ED themes. “We Go!” by Hiroshi Kitadani, will have a special guest collaboration, with more to be announced soon. There will also be an “exciting new touch” added to BE:FIRST ending song “Sailing.” The specially edited version of the original arc presents Fish-Man Island in an abridged 21-episode story with enhanced contemporary visuals. Crunchyroll has confirmed plans to stream the episodes as they air in Japan starting on October 27.

One Piece Log: Fish-Man Island
The Straw Hats reunite at Sabaody! The promised day has arrived. The Straw Hats have made it back to Sabaody Archipelago after two arduous years of separation. In the very same place where they once lost to Pacifista, the Straw Hats have proven themselves to be stronger and ready to begin their journey to the New World. With the Thousand Sunny now equipped to travel underwater, the next stop is the Fish-Man Island. “One Piece Log: Fish-Man Island Saga” is a special edited version of the original arc from “One Piece”, in an abridged 21-episode story with an enhanced contemporary visual look.

One other thing One Piece fans can look forward to is the special ONE PIECE 25th Anniversary special which is set to air on October 20. This special 30-minute episode of One Piece will honor the legacy of One Piece with a special reunion involving the Straw Hats from the perspective of non-pirate characters, all taking place after the Summit War in the Sabaody Archipelago. A young girl who admires Nami is in the lead and ready to set off on an adventure of her own. It will also air on Crunchyroll.
