The official website for the TV Anime adaptation of Kōji Miura’s Blue Box manga released new information on the upcoming series, which includes the main promotional video, the musicians performing the OP and ED theme songs, and an October release window.
The opening theme titled Same Blue will be performed by Official HiGE DANdism, and the ending theme titled Teenage Blue will be performed by Eve. The series has been confirmed to be released on October 3 at 11:56 p.m. and will air on TBS and 28 affiliated networks. It will also air weekly on Netflix beginning on October 3, release dates may vary by country.
Yuichiro Yano (Lupin the 3rd Part 5) will be directing the anime series at Telecom Animation Film, with series composition by Yuko Kakihara (The Apothecary Diaries), character designs by Miho Tanino (Tower of God), and music by Takashi Omama (Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury).
Kōji Miura’s Blue Box as a One-Shot story in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump in 2020. It would later be serialized in April 2021, consisting of 16 volumes and the 17 will be released on October 4. Viz Media published the manga’s 11th volume physically on July 2 and will publish the 12th volume on October 1.
