The Official Twitter account for the upcoming animated film, FŪTO TANTEI: Kamen Rider Skull no Shōzō (FUUTO PI: Portrait of Kamen Rider Skull) revealed new cast members, a new trailer, and another Key Visual ahead of the film’s premiere in November.
Joining the cast will be Ayumu Murase (Haikyu!!, Black Clover, Welcome to Demon-School, Iruma-kun) as young Shōtarō Hidari, Satomi Satou (Fairy Tail, Fruits Basket, Seitokai yakuindomo) as Saeko Sonozaki/Taboo Dopant, and Jun Fukuyama (Code Geass, Kingdom, World Trigger) as Nagi Ōshima, the film’s original character. The trailer also previews the film’s theme song “Niau Otoko ni Nare” (Become a Worthy Man). Kouji Kikkawa wrote, composed, and sang the song as Sōkichi Narumi — the character he played in the original Kamen Rider W show, and a central character in the new film. Toei will be adapting the story from Riku Sanjō and Masaki Satō’s Fūto Tantei‘s Sixth Volume, which also is an extension of Kamen Rider W’s episode, Begins Night. The film will debut in theaters for a limited viewing in Japan, the date has been set for November 8, 2024.
Futō Tanteī is a continuation of Toei’s Kamen Rider W television series that was written by Riku Sanjō and illustrated by Masaki Satō. It made its debut in Shogakukan’s Big Comic Spirits Magazine in August 2017 and is currently an ongoing title. The series has been collected into 16 volumes so far. The manga inspired an anime adaptation and stage play.

Shotaro becomes increasingly impatient with Sokichi, who secretly operates on the side as Kamen Rider Skull. Meanwhile, the Narumi Detective Office receives a phone call… It is a request from hell that will lead Sokichi and his team to a fateful night!
What will Shotaro see as he follows Sokichi’s whereabouts to deliver the “trump card” brought to him by the mysterious client?
Shotaro and Philip, the duo detectives who met on the first night they became Kamen Rider Double.
