It’s that time again. Tokusatsu Summer! That’s right, Toei has announced an action-packed Summer Double Feature involving Kamen Rider Gotchard and Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger!
According to the new press release, the Kamen Rider Gotchard and Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger franchises will each have a film, at the moment the film’s current titles are Kamen Rider THE SUMMER MOVIE 2024 / Kamen Rider Gotchard & Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger. The double feature films will arrive in theaters on July 28.
The cast from both television shows has been confirmed to make an appearance in the new films. Toei will also be doing a special Advance Ticket Campaign for Parent-Child pair tickets (which will be going on sale on April 26), customers will be able to receive a special Rider Chemy Trading Card featuring Bun Red, the Boonboom Trailer, Hopper1, Steamliner, and Kamen Rider Gotchard. The Advance Tickets will go on sale from April 26 to July 25, here are the following ticket prices: General admission is 1,600 yen (USD 10.34 tax included) kid ticket prices for 900 yen (USD 5.82 tax included). Advance tickets for parents-children pair tickets are 2,400 yen (USD 15.51 tax included), Ride Chemy Trading Card Bundle (Summer Movie Mubichike Ver.) *Limited to 30,000 copies nationwide* ticket sales will begin on Friday, April 26 at 10:00 am JST at Major J and Movie Walker.
Finally, a special coloring contest will be held once again and will feature both Kamen Rider Gotchard and Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger’s Bun Red from the coloring flyer. The campaign begins on April 26 and ends on May 25, with great prizes!
Gotchard/Boonboomger Prize:
- Your name and your colored picture will be featured in the film’s credits and theater pamphlets.
- The Winner of the Gotchard Prize will receive a DX Gotchard Driver, while the winner of the Boonboomger Prize will receive a DX Boonboomger Boonboom Changer..

The 48th entry into the Super Sentai Franchise, Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger is the Fifth Sentai Team in the Reiwa Era, following other Reiwa Sentai Heroes such as Mashin Sentai Kiramager, Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger, Avataro Sentai Donbrothers, and Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger. Meanwhile, Kamen Rider Gotchard was the 38th entry into the Kamen Rider Franchise and the fifth rider to be in the Reiwa Era, following other riders such as Kamen Rider Zero-One, Kamen Rider Saber, Kamen Rider Revice, and Kamen Rider Geats.
