Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Gets A Final Trailer And A New Demo!

There are 22 days until the release of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, and Square Enix isn’t wasting anytime in giving fans another look at the upcoming Second Cour in a follow-up from the recent State Of Play event. We got footage eleven-minute gameplay, a final trailer, and a brand-new demo that is available now.

Following up on yesterday’s State of Play, the eleven-minute gameplay trailer showed never before seen elements of the game that included an overview of the World Map, including new ways to get across this expansive new world with a wide range of vehicles and mounts, varied exploration, minigames, and much more.

Speaking of the Expansive World Map, Square Enix introduced several new elements for exploration. For example, one new feature called World Intel, where players can survey areas, fight fearsome foes, and seek various resources or hidden treasures on their journey. Next, Odd Jobs, where players can delve deeper into the world and its characters. Finally, Sanctuaries, which dives into the games summons, where it helpsnCloud and his companions conquer them to subsequently call on their power to help them in the heat of battle.

Next up, the minigames! We’re getting an upgrade, many recall that minigames have been one of the fun things about the original Final Fantasy VII and with Rebirth, they are being presented in a Grander Scale. Unique and colorful minigames are scattered across the world such as Queen’s Blood, a way to collect cards from the early part of the game, allowing players to think up and build a powerful deck on the go! (sounds similar to MTG, Pokémon, Hearthstone, and Yu-Gi-Oh in many ways.)

Finally, we’re looking at ways to improve and deepen relationships with your companions. Just in time for Valentine’s Day, every player is familiar with the bonds between characters and their companions when it comes to the aspects of gameplay, Cloud’s relationship with his companions will change according to his actions and dialogue choices, impacting most notably the well-loved date event scene from the original game. Now, you are able to date partners from the original Final Fantasy VII game, even some new partners were added to the list, even an added date sequence at the Gold Saucer.

The Demo is available to download at today, giving fans a chance to play as Cloud and Sepiroth in a sequence set from the early part of the game among other content. According to the Playstation Blog, You will be able to play as Sephiroth as part of the extended flashback section, as Cloud recalls an earlier mission in his career as a Soldier – the Nibelheim incident. Taking place several years before the events of the game, this will set the stage for several important moments within Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. There will be an update later this month that will allow you to explore part of the Junon region before the release of the full game on February 29.
