What is the Kaito Kid hiding? That is the burning question in the newest Detective Conan/Case Closed Animated Film, Detective Conan and The Million Dollar Signpost. The official website posted a brand-new visual for the upcoming film.
Conan has come up against many adversaries in the mysteries, but his rival, the Kaito Kid is always one step ahead. The new main visual has an interesting tagline The Truth about Kid is finally revealed! The website confirmed that a certain secret about Kaito Kid that wasn’t revealed in the original manga is depicted in the film.
There will not be any preview screenings for the new film due to Kaito Kid stealing the invitations and the film for the preview, but the Detective Conan Production Committee apologized in a statement listed below. A “Special Fan Meeting” with the voice cast members will be held. Details of the event will be announced on the film’s official website and channels as they become available.
In response to this situation, the committee discussed how to respond. However, we have concluded that the ‘truth’ to be revealed this time is so great that we want everyone in Japan to experience it at the same time without any spoilers, and have decided not to hold any preview screenings of the film before its release. We apologize to all those looking forward to the previews every year.
Detective Conan and the Million Dollar Signpost is set to debut in theaters in Japan on April 12. Chika Nagaoka, who worked on the 23rd film, The Fist of Blue Sapphire (2019), and the 24th film, The Scarlet Bullet (2021), again serves as director on a screenplay by Takahiro Okura, who worked on the 21st film, The Crimson Love Letter (2017), the 23rd film,The Fist of Blue Sapphire, and the 25th film, The Bride of Halloween (2022).
