Pokemon Presents 8-8-2023: The Biggest Announcements

The Pokémon Company revealed a new Pokémon Game Showcase today during the Pokémon Presents Event. It brought new information on Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, Detective Pikachu, etc. One of the biggest highlights was the new Pokémon anime.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’s Newest Two-Part Expansion Is Set For September 13th

Start the coverage off with Gamefreak’s newest two-part expansion, The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. The first part, titled The Teal Mask, will start on September 13th, in the second half, The Indigo Disk is still slated for this winter. The new DLC will introduce brand-new Pokémon Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti (the Royal Three) and will introduce over 200 Pokémon that weren’t originally featured in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

Also, Mew and Mewtwo will be featured in a new event called Get Mew & Mewtwo (Doesn’t Grab You, but you get the point). Players will be able to battle a Mewtwo with the Mightiest Mark. Starting right now, players can get a Mew by entering the password GETY0URMEW in the Mystery Gift Menu. Mewtwo will be appearing in a special Tera Raid Battle Event from Sept. 1st to Sept. 17th.

Detective Pikachu Shows Off Assistance From Fellow Pokémon

We have new information on a title that made its return at a recent Nintendo Direct. The new trailer for Detective Pikachu Returns shows off assistance from several Pokémon. For example, an Arcanine that can sniff out clues and a Darmantian that can help you reach new areas by smashing stuff in Ryme City. Detective Pikachu Returns arrives on the Switch on October 6th.

Pokémon GO Teases More Paldean Pokémon Coming Up In September

Niantic and The Pokémon Company teased that Paldean Region Pokémon (including the starters) to Pokémon GO, starting this September.

Pokémon: Path To The Peak Is Announced

I don’t know about you, but I am ecstatic about Pokémon finally getting a series that focuses on their Trading Card Game. It may not look like Yugioh, Shadowverse, or Future Card Buddy Fight, but Pokémon: Path To The Peak aims to bring the world of the Pokémon TCG to life. The first episode premieres on August 11th, and the first episode will be available on YouTube.

Pokémon: Paldean Winds Is Set To Debut on Sept. 6th

Another new animated series was announced this time with the involvement of Studio Wit. Pokémon: Paldean Winds will be an anime series that will focus on the youthful drama of several academy students as they come into their own at the Paldean Academy. The series will have four episodes and premiere on September 6th.

Pokémon Stadium 2 and Pokémon TCG come to the Swtich

The GBC game based on the Pokémon TCG and the N64 sequel Pokémon Stadium 2 has been added to Nintendo Online and Nintendo Online + Expansion Pack, it is available now to download.

New Updates Emerge For Café Remix, Masters EX, and UNITE

Let’s get the triple threat started with Café Remix, it has been confirmed that the mimicry pokémon, Tatsugiri will be joining the game. Tatsugiri will appear in either Curly, Droopy, or stretchy forms.

Pokémon Masters EX will feature the first Sync Pair from the Paldea region: Nemona and Pawmot. Nemona will make her debut in a new story event “coming soon.” Victor and Spectrier will join them on Aug. 16th.

Mewtwo will be joining the UNITE roster, Mewtwo can evolve into Mega Mewtwo X and Mega Mewtwo Y starting on August 17th.
