Sorry for the delay, but we’re going to be looking at the biggest announcements from this year’s One Piece Day. It was certainly a fun filled event, sharing a brand-new trailer for the Live-Action Adaptation and a first look at Gear Five!
Eiichiro Oda’s MONSTERS gets an Anime Adaptation

Starting it off with one of Eiichiro Oda’s earliest works, MONSTERS. On Saturday’s One Piece Day Two Event, MONSTERS was confirmed to be getting an anime adaptation, it is based on his One-Shot that was published in Sheuisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump in 1998 in part of Oda’s Wanted!! Which was a collection of one shots. MONSTERS will be directed by Sunghoo Park (Jujutsu Kaisen, Jujutsu Kaisen 0) and will also be in charge of composition. The animation production will also be handled by Park’s new studio, E&H Production. The anime will consist of only one episode.
One Piece Pirate Warriors 4’s Character Pass Two to launch in September
Bandai Namco Entertainment revealed during the One Piece Day Stream that there would be a brand-new character pass coming up for One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4. The “Character Pass 2” will include the game’s “Character Pack 4,” “Character Pack 5,” and “Character Pack 6” comprising a total of nine playable DLC characters. Character Pack 4 will include Onigashima Battle Luffy and will be available in September 2023. The Character Pass 2 is available now.
The One Piece Live-Action Adaptation Gets a New Trailer
Another surprise trailer the upcoming Hollywood take on Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece Series, this time we’re seeing more characters taking the stage, including Shanks and Milhawk. Netflix’s One Piece will set sail on August 31st.

IT IS TIME TO GO GEAR FIVE! Luffy’s new form makes its animated debut on August 6th!
Joyboy is coming! Luffy’s newest transformation will finally be featured in the tv anime series. According to Crunchyroll, An all-star animation team is on the episode, with Tatsuya Nagamine (Dragon Ball Super: Broly) directing the episode itself with Midori Matsuda (One Piece Film Gold, 1,000th episode opening animation) and Keita Saito (One Piece episode 1,062 and more) as animation directors. The episode is set to premiere on August 6th, and you can watch him transform first-hand in ONE PIECE FILM RED, which is available now on Blu-Ray/DVD, Digitally, and will be available on Crunchyroll on July 27th.
