According to a new report from The Numbers, the Super Mario Bros Movie has made $1.29 Billion worldwide, with $563 million coming from North America and US$732 million from the rest of the world. The Japanese box office gross for the Hometown video game hero, as of June 1, is at 10.33 billion yen (US$75.39 million) and is currently the 40th highest-grossing film in the region as well as the 18th highest-grossing animated film, including Japanese anime. Also, in a new article from Crunchyroll, it is the 19th highest-grossing film ever worldwide and is now only behind Frozen 2’s mammoth US$1.45 billion worldwide box office takings on the animated charts.
J. Michael Straczynski Returns To Marvel, Writing A New Captain America Series

Award-winning Writer and Filmmaker J. Michael Straczynski has announced that he will be making his return to Marvel for a new ongoing Captain America Comic Series. According to the interview from i09, the artist who will also be joining the writer will be Jesús Saiz (Punisher, Doctor Strange). The new series will hit bookshelves on September 20th.
Sword Art Online: Last Recollection’s Newest Trailer Focuses On Gameplay, Character Customization, and More.
It is the latest video game set in the SAO Universe. Sword Art Online: Recollection has a new trailer, and it focuses on various subjects that include Gameplay. It focuses on Character Customization, map exploration, weapons, and Combat Skills. The game will launch on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam on October 6th. Dragon Ball Is Set To Return To SDCC With A Special Exhibition
Akira Toriyama’s beloved manga series, Dragon Ball, is set to be making its return to San Diego’s Comic-Con International this summer with a special exhibition. While the details are unknown about the exhibition, it will take place at an outdoor booth at the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina Marina Terrance. SDCC will take place from July 19th to July 23rd.
HELCK Set To Debut First Two Episodes At This Year’s Anime Expo
This year’s Anime Expo will be full of fun, action, and suspense, but why not throw another fun challenge into the mix? In a new partnership with NIPPON TV and HIDIVE, the Helck screening will be presented in Japanese with English Subtitles on July 1st, ahead of the premiere on July 11th.

Heroes of Fairy Tail Is Ready To Make Its Retail Debut

Japanime Games and Don’t Panic Games are bringing the Heroes of Fairy Tail to Retail starting in August 2023. According to ICv2, players must recruit heroes and form them into teams to defeat various threats to the Kingdom of Fiore. The game takes place throughout three rounds where players must draft cards and use them to face as many challenges as possible. The goal is to gain prestige by battling enemies, gaining advantages, and finishing quests for the other players can.
