The Super Mario. Bros Movie Sets All-Time Global Opening Record For Animated Films

It certainly was a popular weekend for our favorite plumbers, The Super Mario Bros. Movie has crushed the competition with a jaw-dropping $204 Million Domestic and $377 Million Global Debut.

The results far exceed expectations and even surpassed recent installments in Universal’s biggest franchises, like Jurassic World Dominion ($145 Million) and Fast and Furious 9 ($70 Million). It blew the mind of Universal’s president of domestic distribution, Jim Orr.
