BLUELOCK Picks Up A New Visual and Opening Ahead of Second Cour Premiere

It is certainly a Christmas treat. The official website and social media accounts for the BLUELOCK Soccer anime series have surprised fans with a brand-new key visual and a new opening theme for the upcoming second cour.

This is a wonderful time to be a soccer fan. Argentina won the World Cup, and two Soccer anime adaptions debuted in the same year (Aoashi and BLUELOCK). Speaking of BLUELOCK, the second cour is set to premiere on January 7th in Japan. The new opening theme artist is ASH DA HERO and will be performing the theme Judgement.

In addition to this new information, a brand-new digital digest for the first cour has been uploaded for fans who want to relive the intense action or for new viewers who started watching it during the World Cup.

This intense sports series is adapted from the manga written by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and illustrated by Yusuke Nomura. It debuted in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine in August 2018. There are currently 20 tankobon volumes in Japan, while Kodansha also publishes the title for English Audiences and has 14 volumes currently. The First Cour of BLUELOCK is available now on Crunchyroll.
