It’s finally here, the first trailer for the upcoming anime series based on the comedy manga by Shuhei Miyazaki from Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump line. It was released earlier today, and it brought a new staff, cast list, opening theme music, and more.
Comedian Shun Matsuo joins the cast as the lead character, Roboco. Here’s a list of other characters who will be joining Matsuo:
- Minami Tsuda– Bondo Taira
- Ryotaro Okiayu– Gachi Gorilla
- Shunsuke Takeuchi– Motsuo Kaneo
- M.A.O.– Madoka
- Sae Hiratsuka– Meiko
- Kotono Mitsuishi– Bondo’s Mother
The Idol Group, GANG PARADE will be performing the new opening theme titled LOL. Also, Akitaro Daichi is at the helm of the anime production house Gallop (Initial D, Kodocha). Additional key staff members include assistant director Michihiro Sato and series composition writer Sayuro Ooba.

The series is set to premiere on December 4th. Shuhei Miyazaki launched the manga in Weekly Shonen Jump in July 2020. Me & Roboco is available to read on Viz Media’s Shonen Jump App and Shueisha’s Manga Plus App (And it is part of the ‘First Read Free’ Campaign!) Viz Media publishes the manga for English Audiences, it is only available in a digital format.
