Let’s Go, Shohoku High! The Team Comes Together In The Newest The First Slam Dunk Visual


Picture it, Two Minutes on the Clock, Ten Points behind, and Ryonan High are ready to take Shohoku High out of the finals. Or so they think, Takenori Akagi has a plan, and the team is ready to turn things around!

Sorry, I wanted to set a bit of an ambiance for this news story. The boys are back together again for the newest film visual for THE FIRST SLAM DUNK! A new poster made its debut ahead of the December premiere. New information will be announced on November 4th.

Toei Animation and DandeLion Animation Studio are animating the movie. Original mangaka Takehiko Inoue is directing the movie and writing the screenplay. Yasuyuki Ebara is doing character designs and also serving as chief animation director. The series is currently streaming on Crunchyroll, but you will need a Premium Subscription to watch it.


This iconic Sports Manga ran in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from 1990 to 1996 for a total of 31 volumes. The manga inspired a television anime in 1993 and had four anime film sequels. Viz Media released all 31 volumes of the manga in English.
