The 2022 Harvey Award Winners Have Been Announced


In August, the nominees were announced for the 34th Annual Harvey Awards. Last night, we witnessed history as Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Chainsaw Man won the Best Manga Award two years in a row. Without further ado, let’s get down to it and see the winners of this year’s Harvey Awards!

Book of the Year:

  • The Good Asian, Vol. 1 by Pornsak Pichetshote and Alexandre Tefenkgi (Image Comics)

Digital Book of the Year:

Best Children’s or Young Adult Book:

  • Squire by Nadia Shammas and Sara Alfageeh (HarperAlley)

Best Manga:

  • Chainsaw Man by Tatsuki Fujimoto,  translated by Amanda Haley (VIZ Media)

Best International Book:

  • Sweet Paprika by Mirka Andolfo (Image Comics)

Best Adaption from a Comic Book/Graphic Novel:

  • Ms. Marvel (Disney+) based on Ms. Marvel (Marvel Comics)

The 2022 Harvey Awards Hall of Fame:

  • Neil Gaiman, Writer (Sandman, American Gods)
  • Roy Thomas, Writer, Journalist, And Former Marvel Comics Editor-in-chief
  • Gilbert Shelton, Cartoonist (The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers)
  • Marge Buell, Cartoonist (Little Lulu)
