Netflix has announced today that the Video Game Series, Tekken, will be adapted into an anime series. In Tekken: Bloodline, it will be adapting Tekken 3’s original story of Jin Kazama‘s rise to skill and power under the brutal tutelage of his grandfather, Heihachi Mishima. The newest teaser trailer included several familiar faces, both old, and new characters that will be making an appearance in the new series.

The series will be released in 2022, but there isn’t any new information on the cast, crew, or what studio will be producing the animation, Netflix teased the story with the following synopsis:
‘Power is everything.’ Jin Kazama learned the family self-defense arts, Kazama-Style Traditional Martial Arts, from his mother at an early age. Even so, he was powerless when a monstrous evil suddenly appeared, destroying everything dear to him, changing his life forever. Angry at himself for being unable to stop it, Jin vowed revenge and sought absolute power to exact it. His quest will lead to the ultimate battle on a global stage — The King of Iron Fist Tournament.
