There has been some unfortunate news that has come up, the Creator of Seinen, Coming of Age, Manga Blue Period, will be taking a One Month Break from serialization in Kodansha’s Monthly Afternoon Manga Magazine due to contracting COVID-19.

Yamaguchi went on to explain that she wasn’t feeling well since the “other day” and picked up a PCR Test, which had confirmed that she contracted COVID-19.

She would follow up in a tweet later that she said that her condition was steadily improving, though all she was doing was “sleeping a lot and healing.”

Blue Period launched in Monthly Afternoon Magazine in June 2017 and has been collected into eleven tankobon volumes as of September 2021, where it would later win the 13th Manga Taisho award and the 44th Kodansha Manga Award for Best General Manga.
