Following a Mysterious Countdown, Toho Animation released the brand new trailer for the new movie based on the prequel, Jujutsu Kaisen 0. Serving up as a Big Screen Adaption of the Prequel Manga created by Gege Akutami, it highlights the voice cast and characters involved in the movie, including the new theme song sung by Indie Band King Gnu titled “Itto”.
Mappa is returning to animate the film, along with Director Sunghoo Park returning to direct the film, and Toho will also return to distribute the film in Japanese theaters on December 24th. The First Season of Jujutsu Kaisen is currently streaming on Crunchyroll and Funimation, and the New Manga Chapters are available to read on Viz Media and Manga Plus.
“Yuta Okkotsu is a nervous high school student who is suffering from a serious problem—his childhood friend Rika has turned into a Curse and won’t leave him alone. Since Rika is no ordinary Curse, his plight is noticed by Satoru Gojo, a teacher at Jujutsu High, a school where fledgling exorcists learn how to combat Curses. Gojo convinces Yuta to enroll, but can he learn enough in time to confront the Curse that haunts him?“
