Spies, Assassins, Telepathy, and Comedy, four things you can expect in the brand new Anime Series Spy x Family! It was confirmed today that the award-winning manga by Tatsuya Endo would be getting an anime adaption according to its official website, the series is expected to air in 2022. In February 2020, Anime Japan conducted a poll asking fans to see what manga series they would like to be adapted into an Anime, Tatsuya Endo’s Spy x Family was no. 5 on that poll. Below are two special visuals that were released to celebrate the big news, one showing the “Spy” angle, and the other showing the “Family” angle.
Also announced were the cast and crew that will be involved in the new series, CloverWorks, and WIT STUDIO will be handling the animation production.

Spy x Family is a serialized bi-weekly series that is published in Shueisha’s Shonen Jump Plus. Since its debut, 12.5 million copies of the physical manga are currently printed with the upcoming release of volume 8 on November 4th in Japan. The manga has won numerous awards, such as the 44th Kodansha Manga Award and the 24th Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize. Most recently it was nominated for the Best Manga Award in the 33rd Annual Harvey Awards. Viz Media releases the series in English on the Shonen Jump and Manga Plus app as it comes out in Japan, as well as physical volumes.
