“We swear, It’s not a Reboot or a Remake!” Screams Screen Gem, something that needs to be put on a T-Shirt every time someone wants to make a movie or television show that has already been made.
IGN revealed yesterday several new images from the newest video game film, Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City. In these new photos, we get a glimpse of Chris and Claire Redfield, Richard Aiken, Jill Valentine, Albert Wesker, Leon S. Kennedy, and Lisa Trevor. Johannes Roberts recently spoke to IGN for another Exclusive Interview, the movie was set to premiere in September but was moved to November 24th due to spacing out from a Big Budget Superhero Film and with movie-going still at a very slow rate due to the ongoing COVID Situation.
The previous six Resident Evil movies have generated a total worldwide theatrical box office of $1.2 billion and currently, there are several Resident Evil projects in production, the Netflix Live-Action Series (set in different timelines and focusing on Wesker’s Children), and the Anime series Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness.
“Returning to the terrifying roots of the massively popular franchise, fan and filmmaker Johannes Roberts brings the games of the billion-dollar franchise and the most successful video game adaptation in history to life for a whole new generation of fans.”
“Once the booming home of pharmaceutical giant Umbrella Corporation, Raccoon City is now a dying Midwestern town. The company’s exodus left the city a wasteland…with great evil brewing below the surface. When that evil is unleashed, the townspeople are forever…changed…and a small group of survivors must work together to uncover the truth behind Umbrella and make it through the night.”
