Spider-Man struggles with the cost of being a Super-Hero in the newest No Way Home Teaser Trailer

Three days ago, Sony moved quickly to block the leak of the Spider-Man: No Way Home Trailer. But as of a day ago, they uploaded the newest trailer. If you recall at the end of Far from Home, Peter got himself in quite a pickle, thanks to Mysterio’s actions (and lies) everyone now knows that Peter Parker is Spider-Man! Did I forget to mention that this is happening in his last year of High School? Sheesh, this puts a damper on things at School. Anyway, he is now no longer able to separate his normal life from the high-stakes of being a Super Hero. When he asks for help from Doctor Strange the stakes become even more dangerous, forcing him to discover what it truly means to be Spider-Man. It is truly a dangerous time for the ones that Peter cares about, MJ, Aunt May, Happy Hogan, Ned, but in the recent trailer, we are teased with sightings of familiar foes, even at the end with Alfred Molina’s Doctor Octopus making an appearance at the end of the trailer.

From the looks of it, it is tackling the notorious storyline by J. Michael Straczynski and Joe Quesada’s One More Day. Dealing with the fallout of Spider-Man’s Actions during Civil War, Aunt May was shot and immediately Peter was looking for ways to save her life. He encountered the Demon known as Mephisto (fans have been eagerly awaiting his appearance for a long time, eventually the theories became a meme.) By offering Spider-Man’s marriage, would save Aunt May’s life but would erase the history of Peter and Mary Jane had. At the time, Joe Quesada wanted to keep Spider-Man fresh but, the decision would dissolve the marriage of Mary Jane Watson and Peter Parker, having him return to his roots arguing it would preserve the longevity of the character for the next 20 or 30 years.
