Recently, Netflix released a new Teaser Visual for the upcoming fourth season of Adi Shankar’s hit series Castlevania. But today, it has been confirmed that this fourth season will also end the current story and be the final season, which is set to air on May 13th.

But fear not, the company is eyeing plans to create another series that is set in the same universe but with different characters, according to Deadline. In 2015, Adi Shankar announced that he was working with Fred Seibert and Kevin Kolde of Frederator Studios on an animated mini-series based on Konami’s Castlevania game series. The story would be based on the 1989 NES/Famicom game Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse.

Inspired by the classic video game series, Castlevania is a dark medieval fantasy following the last surviving member of the disgraced Belmont clan, trying to save Eastern Europe from extinction at the hand of Vlad Dracula Tepe himself. The animated series is from Frederator Studios, a Wow! Unlimited Media company, written by best-selling author and comic book icon Warren Ellis.”
