
Keisuke Itagaki is no stranger to the World of Martial Arts while being the creator of Grappler Baki and showing the world an intense display of martial arts let’s look at the life he had before becoming a Manga Artist. Keisuke served in the 1st Airbourne Brigade in the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force, during the service he practiced amateur boxing and competed in the National Sports Festival. He holds a degree in Shorinji Kempo, a form of Japanese Martial Arts that is considered to be a modified form of Shaolin Kung-Fu.
Let’s get to the topic on hand, Comic Natalie and BS-TBS announced that Itagaki will be continuing his journey to pursue the strongest martial arts in the world in real life by attending various dojos and learning hand-to-hand fighting techniques.
The title for the new documentary, “Itagaki Keisuke ga Iku! Saikyo Dojo” (“Keisuke Itagaki Goes to the Strongest Dojos!“) It will be premiering this Saturday on March 20th at 2:00 am – 3:00 am JST, the first episode will be focusing on a Martial Arts form that was created by Legendary Martial Artist and Film Star, Bruce Leecalled Jeet Kune Do, then the second episode will be focusing on a martial arts form that is used by the Israeli Defense Forces called Imi Krav Maga, a fighting style that was utilized by Hungarian-Israeli Martial Artist Imi Lichtenfeld.
