In the immortal words of John “Hannibal” Smith, “I love it when a plan comes together.” The newest trailer for Walt Disney’s Raya and the Last Dragon finds us meeting not only the Last Dragon but also finds us with some interesting Characters; Little Noi (Thalia Tran) who is adorable and a Con Baby! And has a team of Ongis, Tong (Doctor Strange’s Benedict Wong), a formidable giant, and warrior from Spine, and Boun (Izaac Wang), a 10-year old entrepreneur.
The trailer also reveals the masked fighter in the movie’s first clip as Raya’s wise father Benja, played by Daniel Dae Kim. Rounding out the supporting cast are Gemma Chan as Raya’s nemesis, Namaari; Sandra Oh as Namaari’s powerful mother, Virana; Lucille Soong as Dang Hu, the leader of Talon; Patti Harrison as the chief of the land of Tail; and Ross Butler as chief of the Spine land. And last but not least, Awkwafina as Sisu.
Kelly Marie Tran voices as Raya, a warrior princess who sets out to find the last dragon in existence and save the kingdom of Kumandra from the villainous Druun. Kelly Marie Tran makes history as the first Southeast Asian Actress to lead a Disney Animated Film.
