Today’s latest presentation for Nintendo was the newest expansion of the hit video game, Pokemon Sword & Shield, not only did they reveal the release date for the latest expansion (October 22nd) but also included what Pokemon are set to return, some fan favorites including Legends from previous games as well as Galarian Variations such as the newly revealed Galarian Slowking. For a complete list of returning Pokemon, Serebii has the Details.
Looks sinister, doesn’t it? This Slowking is a Poison and Psychic Type, the Official website had an official description of this new type of Slowking:
“A Shellder bite set off a reaction between the chemicals secreted by Galarian Slowpoke’s brain and the spices inside its body, causing Slowpoke to gain the Poison type as it evolved into Galarian Slowking. The Shellder’s intelligence also skyrocketed, giving the Shellder psychic powers that put other Psychic-type Pokémon to shame.“
As you make your way into the region, a man named Peony will appoint you as the leader of the exploration team in the Crown Tundra. You’ll be tasked with investigating the reaches of this Winter Wonderland, including the depths of a Pokemon Den and the best part? Many of the Legendary Pokemon have made it their home. Another new addition to the game is the Galarian Star Tournament, an endgame event that allows you to battle alongside Trainers and against Trainers from throughout Pokemon Sword and Shield.
