On January 27, 2020, legendary comics inker Dexter Vines went to the doctor for a chronic lower back pain that refused to go away. He discovered two major surprises:
1) that he had two fractured vertebrae in his lower back, and 2) that they were the result of Multiple Myeloma, a cancer that attacks the plasma of the blood.

We are letting the campaign run a few more days, because the more cushion and help we can give Dexter, the less he has to worry about making ends meet and the more he can concentrate on his health and getting well.
