Kyoto Animation President holds the first Press Conference in Three Months after Deadly Arson Attack

Another reminder for our Readers, we will not publish the name of the Arsonist out of the respect of the families and victims involved in the deadly arson attack on Kyoto Animation Studio.

Continuing our coverage of the Kyoto Animation Studio Arson Case, the President of Kyoto Animation, Hideaki Hatta held his first press conference according to the Saneki News and Crunchyroll, he has been questioned before the media in front of Studio One after the attack happened, but this was the first time he had been seen in a press conference setting.

Hatta spoke to the Press, saying “it really hurts seeing so important to me being in a situation that can’t fix,” referring to Studio One being on fire. Hatta thanked everyone around the world for the outpouring love and donations. The NHK recently reported that the Kyoto Prefectural Government took over from the Studio, it was reported on October 15th that the donations raised for the Animation Studio reached 2.92 Billion Yen ($26.8 Million US Dollars). Also revealed during the press conference, Mr. Hatta mentioned that 27 of the 33 victims affected by the fire have returned to work.
