My Hero Academia Season Four: Episode 64 A Scoop on UA Class 1-A

I’m going on a limb here and saying that this episode of MHA reminds me of a Classic Naruto episode, it might have been a recap episode but we’re going to review it; it isn’t a secret that this season will have the biggest impact on our heroes yet, just as the Manga, this is part two of the Rise of the Villains Saga; the prelude for the Shie Hassaikai Arc.

The story began as a scoop for a media station that was looking for a story about All-Might’s Retirement, and a free-lancer by the name of Taneo Tokuba was the man to get it. Under the guise of doing a report on the Class of 1-A, as mentioned before it might be a recap story but it also has references to the Two Heroes film and to past episodes; most of the flashback scenes have been touched up, it is hinted early on that Taneo has a connection to All-Might and it is shown when he has a conversation with Deku later on in the episode. With certain flashbacks dating back to when Deku saved Bakugo from the Sludge villain in Episode 2, when Deku fought Muscular right up to the Gang Orca fight during the Provisional Hero License Exam.

Final Grade:

Rating: 7 out of 10.

Not much to review when coming to a recap episode, the after-credits scene helps set up the introduction of Overhaul meeting Tomura Shigaraki and the League of Villains. Be on the look out for next review!
