UPDATE: Lex has discontinued the Dash Attack and Mutant Alliance show, you can find him over on Utreon with his new show The Cosplay Gamers.
It’s that time again, it is Creator Spotlight! And this month we’re shaking things up a bit. For the past couple of months, I have interviewed artists, now it is time to introduce a Creator who has created not only a podcast but also a Utreon channel. His name is Lexaeus Noil, his podcast is called “Lexfactor” where he discusses the 80s and 90s Culture, including highlighting Cartoon Gems of yesteryear.

Red: What inspired you to make a Podcast/Youtube Show?
Lex: Well, what inspired me to make a Podcast/Youtube show, my friend Phoenix inspired me to make a podcast show, her and everyone else like some of the knowledge I have for the 80s and 90s pop culture.
As for a YouTube show, that’s easy. I wanted to show people what I saw growing up in the 80s and 90s, and show them what underrated cartoons and video games I enjoy playing.
Red: With the recent announcements of rebooting shows from the 80s, 90s do you feel that Companies are ruining not only the memories of certain shows but diluting the Cultural aspect?
Lex: Yes they are! I remember when Hollywood had the great imagination to make wonderful movies that are timeless! But, sadly, they want to remake and reboot movies for today’s standards and fill up their bank accounts.
Red: Do you have any projects you’re working on?
Lex: Yes, I’m working on new Lex Remembers for The Lex Factor Show. It’s about Filmation’s Ghostbusters cartoon show that everyone doesn’t remember. I loved watching this cartoon with my brother, and sometimes we pretend to be Jake and Eddie from the show. Plus, I’m working on a brand new cosplay costume for this year’s Retropalooza in Arlington, TX. And it’s from one of my favorite arcade games from the 80s.
Red: On the topic of Cartoons and Anime, what is it that you look for when choosing either animation genres to talk about or discuss with other fans?
Lex: I look for breathtaking animations that make my eyes pop out of my sockets, characters that I can relate to, even the underrated characters that never get recognized like my favorite underrated Marvel hero, Wonder Man, and talk to my fans about what animes and cartoon movies that made them fans of the genre. And I say this a lot, the anime that made me a fan is the original Fist of the North Star OVA, and anime series.
Red: When choosing a video game or show to discuss, do you prefer Well known (Mainstream)or the Classics?
Lex: Both. Don’t get me wrong, the mainstream games/tv shows are great, but it’s the classics that always put a smile on my face. I’m not saying that today’s versions of Voltron, She-Ra, and TMNT are ruining my childhood, I just couldn’t get hooked on them. But trust me, I did enjoy Voltron Legendary Defender.
Unfortunately, we have reached the end of the line for this interview, Lex is a great guy with excellent taste in games, anime, films, and Cartoons. He will also be having a podcast every weekend discussing what everyone plays on Halloween; this Saturday’s podcast is about Dead by Daylight. Be sure to check out his channel listed below
