Discord is pulling the plug on its Subscription Service’s Free Game Library

A year ago Discord’s Nitro Service decided to try to give Steam a run for its money by giving its subscribers access to a Curated Library of Games, but it had a fraction of the games Steam has- it launched with games such as Psychonauts and Super Meat Boy and 60 other video games in it’s Arsenal. A good perk that came with a $10 price tag for its Nitro Plan, and here comes the bad news for Subscribers that have been enjoying this Plan; the company has decided to pull the plug on the Library with it ending on October 15th.

The Company went onto explaining that the game’s annual contracts were coming up since their roll-out last October. “Through your valuable feedback, it became clear that while we and some of you love these games, the truth is the vast majority of Nitro subscribers didn’t play them,” as a result the company decided not to renew the contracts and will stop offering free games next month. If you are a Discord user, you can request a refund and will be transferred to their billing department. The Company plans to retain its $10 Plan but will not feature the Game Library, but promises more features to make up for it. If you want to read more on what’s coming to Nitro, click here.
