Kyoto Animation Recovers Data from Server after Studio 1 Fire.

It was confirmed Monday that art and other materials have been recovered from the Data Server located on the first floor of Kyoto Animation’s Studio One Building. The lawyer who was hired by Kyoto Animation to provide the communications to the public about the fire, Daisuke Okeda, has confirmed that all of the Data from the server has been successfully recovered without Damages.

The Server was isolated in a separate room surrounded by concrete on the Building’s first floor, sources say that the room was apart from the Staircase area in which the Arsonist started the fire on July 18th; That meant the server was protected from the fire and also from water used in firefighting efforts. Okeda went onto saying that specialists were successfully able to fully recover all of the data from the server, however, he did not specify what data the server had contained.

A report from the Mainichi Shimbun has shown that the Donations to the Kyoto Animation have exceeded 1.2 Billion Yen ($11.4 Million US Dollars) as of 3 pm JT on Monday Afternoon. Meanwhile, the Studio’s Account for Donations has received about 965.63 Million Yen ($8.7 Million US Dollars). The account had received 620 Million Yen ($5.7 Million US Dollars) as of Friday. Also, there has been an update on the Arsonist’s motive concerning the “Stolen Manuscript”, You can read it on the Mainichi Shimbun’s Website located here.
