According to Anime News Network, Funimation announced on Friday that it would be introducing a new tier membership system in April that would replace its current premium membership system in the US and Canada in April.
The new membership system will have three tiers: “Premium”, Premium Plus, and Premium Plus Ultra. All three tiers will allow subscribers to view the FunimationNOW Library in HD, subtitled and English dubbed anime AD-Free, with both current and cataloged titles.
Premium: Tier will cost $5.99 per month (Same as it always has been.) Or will be $59.99 per year, the membership will allow two users to stream simultaneously.
Premium Plus: Tier will cost $7.99 per month or $79.99 per year, Plus will allow 5 users to stream simultaneously, allow IOS or Android Phone or Tablet users to download episodes. While the Tier will also allow users to have “Special Members-Only Access” in Members’ areas, offering benefits to Funimation Shop.
Premium Plus Ultra: Tier is on an annual basis only for $99.99 per year, the benefits include all of the Premium Plus Tier as well as including an annual gift on Members’ Membership Anniversary, includes two ‘Pay-Per-View’ rentals each year and Free Shipping included at Funimation shop.
