Our favorite Precure Sleuths are preparing to take their mystery-solving skills to the big screen! The new precure film is in production and set to be released on September 18th, during Silver Week.
Even though there isn’t much to go on at this time, a new teaser trailer and visual were shared for Star Detective Precure! The Movie (映画名探偵プリキュア！, Eiga Meitantei Purikyua!). It even offering a fun activity page for kids to participate in. A special coloring page flyer will be available at participating theaters in a distribution campaign that will start on April 10th (Friday), for a complete list of participating theaters, click here.
Star Detective Precure (名探偵プリキュア!) Is an anime series created by Izumi Todo, and produced by Toei Animation. It is the 23rd installment in the Pretty Cure Franchise, and it is directed by Koji Kawasaki. The series succeeded You and Idol Precure! On February 1, 2026. The series’ main themes are mysteries and time-traveling, while its motif is detectives. The anime debuted on February 1 on ABC TV, TV Asahi, and their affiliate channels at 8:30 a.m. JST. Crunchyroll streams the anime North America, Central America, South America, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Africa, the Middle East and CIS.

Anna Akechi, a second year middle school student who lives in Makoto Mirai Town. She travels back in time from 2027 to 1999 when her “companion fairy” named Pochitan appears on her birthday. In 1999 Makoto Mirai Town, Anna meets Mikuru Kobayashi, another second year middle school student who dreams of becoming a great detective. The two girls witness the troubles caused by the Phantom Thieves who steal people’s precious belongings, and they transform into great Precure detectives and use their deductive reasoning skills to protect the people’s smiles.
