Better strap yourself in— one of the most savage manga hits, Manabu Yashiro’s TANK CHAIR (戦車椅子－TANK CHAIR－), is getting its TV anime adaption this fall. Recently, Bandai Namco Filmworks has released new information on the upcoming animated adaptation, produced by Polygon Pictures.
The reveal also includes a stunning new teaser visual—illustrated by creator Manabu Yashiro himself—to hype the announcement, the official teaser PV, the launch of a brand-new official Discord fan club (‘TANK CHAIR FANCLUB’), and the full staff list. The staff details, along with comments from Yashiro is listed below! And, a special reminder for those attending Anime Japan, a Sticker Campaign will take place at the Bandai Namco Filmworks Stand (Located at A-22) on March 28-29 at Tokyo Big Sight!

戦車椅子－TANK CHAIR－ made its serialized debut on Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket website and app on November 5, 2022. The series later transferred to print serialization in Kodansha’s Monthly Shonen Sirius starting November 26, 2024 (with the January 2025 issue), and remains ongoing. Its chapters have been collected into nine tankōbon volumes as of September 2025. Kodansha Comics publishes the manga in English, with volumes available in print and digital formats, and chapters are simul-published and readable on Kodansha’s KMANGA app.

Living on Gui Cheng Island, called “the most dangerous city in the universe,” is no easy task. Genetic doping is common for gangs to gain ultimate power. However, Shizuka has figured out the key to waking her brother up: he must be faced with killing intent! Thus begins a violent journey of recovery, battling the most dangerous foes!
