Chris Evans Returns In First Teaser of Avengers: Doomsday

The moment fans of Marvel and Marvel movies have been waiting for is finally here, DOOMSDAY is coming. After combating leaks, Marvel Studios streamed the first teaser trailer for the Avengers’ newest film, Avengers: DOOMSDAY.

The first teaser trailer was released recently, revealing Chris Evans (who was holding a baby!) as Steve Rogers. The trailer comes after the footage leaked online and later played in theaters during early screenings of Avatar: Fire and Ash. A Thor-focused teaser featuring Chris Hemsworth has also allegedly surfaced online.

Longtime Marvel Collaborators Anthony and Joe Russo will be directing the new Avengers film, which will be in theaters on December 18th, 2026. Robert Downey Jr., who starred as Tony Stark/Iron Man in over 10 films will be returning once more, only in a new role, playing as Doctor Doom. The following cast members have also been confirmed to return: Chris Hemsworth, Vanessa Kirby, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright, Paul Rudd, Wyatt Russell, Tenoch Huerta Mejía, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Simu Liu, Florence Pugh, Kelsey Grammer, Lewis Pullman, Danny Ramirez, Joseph Quinn, David Harbour, Winston Duke, Hannah John-Kamen, Tom Hiddleston, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn, James Marsden, Channing Tatum, and Pedro Pascal.

The Avengers were created by Writer Stan Lee and Artist Jack Kirby. The team made its debut in The Avengers #1 (cover-dated September 1963), labeled as Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, the team originally consisted of Iron Man, Ant-Man, Hulk, Thor, and Wasp. Captain America was discovered trapped in ice in issue #4, and joined the group after they revived him. Since then, the team has grown and evolved over the years, appearing in a wide variety of comic book spin-offs, crossovers, and a variety of media consisting of animated shows, video games, and direct-to-video films. Beginning in 2008, the group was adapted into a film series from Marvel Studios, known as the Marvel Cinematic Universe, culminating with The Avengers in 2012, leading the team to appear in various films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
