A year ago, it was confirmed that the TV anime adaptation of Yūji Terajima’s Ace of Diamond Act II manga would be getting a sequel. It will be returning for a second season, starting Spring 2026.
Accompanying this announcement was a brand-new visual and a promotional video, the new season will begin airing in April 2026 on TV Tokyo and affiliated networks. This marked the first new season in six years since the final episode of the first season aired in March 2020.
For staff, Hideaki Oba directs Ace of the Diamond act II Second Season at studio OLM, with series composition by Kenji Konuta, character designs by Yasukazu Shoji, and music by Hajime Hyakkoku. Included in this announcement is a limited-time stream of the television anime series, which will be available on YouTube from the 24th through January 6, 2026. Yuji Terajima’s Ace of Diamond‘s first manga was serialized in Kodansha’s Shonen magazine Weekly Shonen Magazine from May 2006 to January 2015 consisting of 412 chapters collected in 47 tankobon volumes. The sequel, Ace of Diamond Act II was serialized from August 2015 to October 2022, consisting of 308 chapters collected into 34 tankobon volumes. The Ace of Diamond Act II manga won the shōnen category of the 34th Kodansha Manga Awards in 2010. Kodansha Comics began releasing the manga digitally in English in March 2017. Both the Original and Act II are available to read now on KMANGA. The manga also inspired a TV Anime that debuted in 2013, Crunchyroll streamed the 75-episode anime as it premiered in Japan. Its second season debuted in April 2015, with Crunchyroll streaming the 51-episode series as it also aired in Japan, and airs the first series of Act II on their streaming service.
